Post subject:  AT91RM9200-EK boot problem - stops after Sysinit done

Hello,

I have an AT91RM9200-EK evaluation board and I want to put Linux on it.

I have tried the package from Atmel (linux-2.4.27-vrs1) with the associated ramdisk. I used u-boot to load it all via tftp and everything works well.

I downloaded a newer Linux kernel (2.6.31) and managed to configure and compile it for my board. When I try to use it with my board the kernel starts to boot but stops just before the login prompt.

See below.

Can you suggest any reasons for this please?
