Hi, I have custom board with AC97 codec LM4550.
I was apply all AC97 patches to kernel 2.6.34 (*board.c, *_devices.c, ac97c.c ...).
So kernel is run on but have:
ALSA sound/pci/ac97/ac97_codec.c:2084: AC'97 0 access is not valid [0xffffffff],
removing mixer.
atmel_ac97c: probe of atmel_ac97c.0 failed with error -5
ALSA device list:
No soundcards found.
If get oscilloscope, I don't see any activity on AC97 pins :( and atmel_ac97c_read return with timeout ...

Resolved, was be reset audio codec specific ...

Have the same trouble on at91sam9g45, kernel version 2.30 + exp4 patches
