Hello
I am using AT91SAM9XE512 processor with an OV9655 image sensor connected with ISI interface.
2.6.27 linux kernel version has ISI and ov9655 support ( exp.2 and exp.3 patches ).
But, when I try to compile ISI and ov9655 modules, only ISI is successfully compiled.
I have already configured .config with "make menuconfig" to use ISI. There is no a specific option to use ov9655 imagem sensor.
Can someone advise me how to get ov9655_atmel.ko?

Why ISI is no longer supported above 2.6.27 kernel version?

Thanks.

There is something smelling strange in paradise.
I found that ISI and ov9655 are supported only for 9G45 processor. Why not for 9XE also?
I tried to contact Atmel's support. Not a single word in reply. Very disappointing.
So, I rolled up my sleeves and dumped to work hard... and I did it!
Now, I have not only ISI linux driver working on AT91SAM9XE512, as it is ov7740-atmel.ko working also. I ported from ov9655-atmel.ko. Original credits maintained.
Atmel, did you forget us?

Hi Sergio,

could you please outline a few more details on how you actually got the drivers running?

I am trying to get a ov9655 camera to work with my AT91SAM9M10G45EK board. I already successfully compiled the 2.6.27 kernel with exp.3 patch and v4l, isi and camera modules enabled in .config with
CONFIG_VIDEO_DEV=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L2_COMMON=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L2=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_CAPTURE_DRIVERS=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_ATMEL_ISI=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_OV9655=y

But when I try to open the /dev/video0 or /video1 (e.g. with v4l2-dbg, or simply cat /dev/video0 etc) I get the error
'Failed to open /dev/video0: Connection timed out'

What else do I have to do? What am I missing?
(The camera IS connected and works very well with bare-metal demos under at91lib)

Thanks
Thomas
