Hi,

For preparing linux for u-boot i compile "linux-2.6.33.7.2-rt30" in a partition formatted with ntfs i get at the end this error:

make[1]: Warning: File `vmlinux' has modification time 1.1 s in the future
OBJCOPY arch/sh/boot/vmlinux.bin
GZIP arch/sh/boot/vmlinux.bin.gz
UIMAGE arch/sh/boot/uImage.gz
/usr/bin/mkimage: Can't map arch/sh/boot/uImage.gz: Invalid argument
make[1]: *** [arch/sh/boot/uImage.gz] Error 1
make: *** [uImage] Error 2

Is there here any solution ?

Thanx in advance

i port u-boot and linux on my sh7785-board. I have a WXP-PC and installed "Lauterbach Debugger" on it. But i develop in a Virtualbox-Guest-System-Debian. Currently i have my working directory in my guest-system-debian. After building u-boot and kernel i have to copy the result to my host-system-windows, so i can debug. My idea is to put working directory in shared folder and building here to save time.
Building in Virtualbox-Guest-System-Debian works but not in shared folder

I'm sorry, this sounds a bit off-topic here.
BTW I don't use Virtualbox neither Lauterbach.
I would try asking them.
