I am looking to get the latest version of linux (3.x) running on the at91sam9g45ekes eval board. From checking the forums, I know others have accomplished this. Does anyone have a step-by-step guide on what he/she did to get 3.x compiled for this board? What patches did you apply against the vanilla kernel? Where did you get these patches or how did you generate them?

The Linux4SAM website (http://www.at91.com/linux4sam/bin/view/ ... inuxKernel) has been a great source of information. I have used it to get 2.3.60 running on the eval board. However, it is no longer up-to-date; is there anything that is still actively maintained and following the latest kernel releases?

You can find the patches if you look into older posts in this forum.

Anyway, I have worked with linux 3.0.4. You can get the vanilla kernel booting without applying any patches.

After downloading I configured the kernel for at91sam9g20ek_defconfig and then using make menuconfig I modified the board to AT91SAM9M10G45-EKES and then build.

Its been a while, so I do not recall making any other changes. You can try it out. Keep posting your results.
