I run linux-2.6.39 kernel image,which is downloaded from www.at91.com on at91sam9x5ek.When I input hwclock cmd on the terminal,it can't show the date.

It shows root@at91sam9x5ek:/# hwclock
hwclock: can't open '/dev/misc/rtc': No such file or directory

Who can tell me why and how can I solve this problem?

At the command line do:

to find where the rtc device really is on your system. For me it's located at /dev/rtc. If that's the location for you also, then try executing:

I'm not sure where hwclock determines the default device location. My guess it's one of the files in /etc/defaults or /etc/init.d.
