Hi all,
It seems that there is bugg in u-boot 1.2.0. when we do any write to nand flash through u-boot commands it writes to obb area with wrong data, which indicates the current block is bad. So once we write to nand flash next time the same block will be detetcted as bad-bock. I have tried to find the bugg but couldn't do it.
If anybody has fixed the bugg please reply for changes.
I'm using micron 2G 8-bit nand flash. It detects the chip properly also does the erase function properly. Only problem is with write and read command.
work around: Now i'm using a usb stick (as ethernet phy DP83848 is not supported ? ) to download the images (kernal and ext2 ramdisk) directly to SDRAM. Finally i will download the kernal to dataflash and jffs2 ramdisk to nand flash using samba-isp.
please reply if anybody has fixed the bugg.
thanks in advance,
