hi,

which is the latest kernel, as regards the following

2.6.23 or 2.6.23rc2

is a "rc" modifications leading upto modification and release of 2.6.23 or is an rc

the base (2.6.23) + release candidet 2?

no, RC is before main release. So the latest is 2.6.23.1, before that was 2.6.23, before that 2.6.23-RC9...

So the latest stable is 2.6.23.1 and the latest testing 2.6.24-rc2

Correct me if I'm wrong but RC reads out ReleaseCandidate?
