Hi,

I have a custom board with almost the same hardware connection with AT91SAM9261EK board.

For the touchscreen, I am using a larger touchscreen for a larger LCD(800x480).

I have compiled tslib and tested with ts_calibrate, ts_print. All appears to be fine.

It is then tested with ts_test and it is observed that the cursor position on the screen does not reflect the correct location. For example, upon first touch, the cursor appears to be some distance (about 30 pixels) away from the actual location. With the touch being held at the same location, the cursor location fluctuates and appear inconsistent to the extent that the cursor would go out of screen.

Has anyone encountered the same issue and any advice on the above ?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards.

Sim CK

The ADS7846 is currently broken on DMA-based SPI controllers. I posted my development version to linux-arm-kernel a couple of days ago. It is not split up for correct patch set, but it works for me.

Hi AntiSullin,

Really appreciate your reply.

I have tried to cut & paste the patch that you have posted and applied on my code but I got the following error:

patching file drivers/input/touchscreen/ads7846.c
patch: **** malformed patch at line 5: * files

I am using the command line:
linux-2.6.23> patch -p1 < ../ads7843_patch

Any idea for the error ?

Best Regards.

The list archives had turned the patch into HTML and that mutilated it. Luckily, there are other sources available.

I'll do a new broken apart patch set soon and post it to list again.
