plz tell me how to transfer C file over my target machine at91sam9261ek with linux2.6.20 .
ftp command also not working.
????

you've plenty of choiches available:
- mount your filesystem using NFS (which would be the best one during debugging)
- tftp [1]
- ftp [1]
- rx [1]

[1] of course you need to have those packages cross compiled and running in your target
