Buildroot at91sam9260 dfc and pf configs

Hi,

Has anyone information about the difference between the at91sam9260dfc and at91sam9260pf buildroot configurations. I guess that dfc stands for data flash card, but what is pf? Is the pf config applicable for at91sam960ek?

Hi there

I'd guess that "pf" stands for parallel flash, that is the NAND flash. The ROMboot embedded with the at91sam9260 will look for boot code (e.g. at91bootstrap) in the NAND flash and serial DataFlash chips.

pf: parallel flash = NAND flash
dfc: Data Flash Card
To boot from on board data flash you have to change your uboot at91sam9260ek.h

BTW has anyone sucessfully completed a buildroot recently for the at91sam9260? I keep getting an error because the sudo website changed the source code version and website name. I put in a bug report but haven't seen any action on it. I am using the at91sam9260pf.defconfig and tried both linux version 2.6.22.1 and 2.6.22.10. Thanks!
