Sorry for my answer. I have changed nothing at the code from MMC Card driver.
I have tested the MMC Card dirver with the 2.6.24 und 2.6.23 Kernel und both works.
This is my working Kernel Command line, which allows to boot form a MMC Card.

The rootdelay command is important, because the kernel need enough time to load the mmc Card driver, before it want to mount the rootfs.
