arm-elf-toolchain for linux

I need to compile the Linux kernel from its sources
for my AT91SAM9263EK board on Fedora 8 system.

Can I use the arm-elf-gcc tool-chain for this purpose
I will also need to compile u-boot for the processor.

Are there any compatibility issues regarding arm-elf-gcc and my development platform :?:

Will it be a good choice or are there some better options available (plz list all options):?:

hello Devendra,

if u got the tool chain(which u have mentioned) from any distribution,mostly it will work fine....am using armv5l-linux- xxx toolchain from timesys using which i could able to compile my linux kernel and u-boot successfully.

If u are intrested in the toolchain and kernel u can try buildroot.
It provided me the toolchain, kernel ,FS ,bootloader everything but only after when I
tried it on CentOS 5.1. The installation procedure was failing on Fedora 8.
