Hey there,
is there anybody having expirience with a miniPCI consumer modul attaching to a AP7000 or a comparable AVR32 µC

The idea is, to use the std. Linux driver, shiped with the modules, on the embedded Linux.
Problem is, there is no PCI on the AVR32.
Perhaps the PCI bus could be implemented with something like a PLX PCI9054 PCI-to-local-bus converter.

Perfect would be if there is a PCI-bus-Converter which is already supported by embedded Linux on AVR32.

even intereseting would be: What has to be done, to use the PCI-driver of the modules when inplementing PCI with the PLX PCI9054. This device would be connected to the EBI with some glue-logic.
If I understood the problem right, there is a driver to be written that translates the PCI-driver signals of the consumperproduct-driver into "AVR32 EBI Commands". So there is the need to know how the driver works, right?

thanks for your help
Abudun

P.S. I'm pretty skilled in embedded but highend neewbie in embedded Linux

Oh I'm sorry, I missed to say that a AT91SAM is suitable ,too

but i think a ARM7 core is too slow for that job.
Maybe a ARM9 core could be powerfull enough??
