| Post subject: | Everything in nand flash |
I am running Angstrom Linux on my AT91sam9263EK board but, my actual project board will be lacking the dataflash so, I need to place everything (bootstrap, uboot-env, uboot, kernel and the rootfs) in the nand flash and boot the system from there. AT91sam9263 have nand flash boot capability. What all changes have to be done to the kernel , bootargs etc for this What are the address locations on the nand flash where uboot, kernel etc have to be loaded What would be the minimum flash requirment Thanks and Regards, Devendra |

First SAM9263 silicon series has an issue avoiding boot from NAND, read at the end of the datasheet. |

I guess rev. B of the AT91SAM9263 chips supports NAND Flash boot. I am going to order those for my project but before that I need to make sure that I can really place everything in the NAND Flash and boot from there. So what all I need to do for booting from NAND Flash ? Regards, Devendra |

I have u-boot, kernel and RFS running in 32M of NAND on the 9260EK platform. No GUI though. Right no I am having some problem with NAND and SDRAM timing, reset issue... All the best! |

FYI, linux4sam.org has been updated with support for boot from NAND. AT91sam9263ek Rev B is also ok with this update of the demos and source code. Regards, |
