 Post subject: [Solved] buildroot kernel image size is HUGE!! - 2.6.25.10

Anyone know why the kernel uImage and zImage are huge in size after a successful build of buildroot? I'm showing 18MBytes! Did buildroot forget some compression option? How do I get the kernel to compile back down to a normal uImage size (around 1M or so)? I'm just using the defconfig for now, but I did a manual clean and rebuild and still same problem.

Solved this by removing the initrd source file from the kernel config. Anyone know why this .list file caused the kernel to bloat to 18Megs?
