I am working toward atmel board AT91SAM9260ek. When I uses different cross-tool for linux kernel and application, I got the error like: "Syntax error: ") unexpected. (linux kernel by the cross-tool "arm-2007q1-10-arm-none-linux-gnueabi-i686-pc-linux-gnu" and application (for example: gdbserver) using "arm-linux-gcc")

Did you guys meet this problem? Thanks for your great help.

The other question is that I plan to use IAR EWARM for building and debugging the applications. The applications under IAR includes AT91bootstrap (board_lowlevel.c), and AT91bootstrap has been downloaded to the board before linux kernel. So, do I need to make some changes or not?

When I download my IAR application to the board, I got the error:"Syntax error: ") unexpected" too.

Thanks in advance.
Rumi

I believe this is because the application and linux were compiled with mismatched C libraries, i.e. uclibc/glibc.

You should compile each with the same build environment.
