RETAILMSG to serial port instead of KITL

What is the correct procedure to make RETAILMSG appear on serial port instead of of the output window of the IDE?

The output window of the IDE (VS2005) is very slow, and i think serial port should be faster since its 115200bps.

It's slow because of KITL not because of the speed of IDE. Actually, the IDE KITL is through Ethernet and it's faster than serial port (10M vs 115K).

I haven't tried it in WinCE 6. But in the old days, I could disable KITL in the environment settings and then RETAILMSG would output to serial port instead.

Ah very good, disabling KITL does it.

I found out how: Project -> Properties -> Configuration Properties -> Build Options -> Enable KITL
