Hi,

I have an AT91SAM9260-EK board running Wince 6.0 and .NET Compact Framework 2.0.

I would like to detect, init and access the SD/MMC card in the slot but cannot figure out what is required to do this in Visual C#.

A directory listing reveals a NandFlash directory and Hard Disk if I plug in a USB memory stick.

The registry shows some information regarding the SD card, but I'm not sure how one uses this data.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

I think I have part of the solution of interacting with an SD card.

I have created a new registry key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SOFTWARE\FLASHLOADER. A DWORD parameter within the key set to 1 will invoke the SD card loader in AT91SAM9260EK_SDMEM_LOADER.DLL

A message to say that the SD card initialisation has failed is displayed on the VS Ouput window. Setting the registry key to 0 displays a message that an SD/MMC card has been removed.

Below is the output from VS:

528963 PID:400002 TID:2b30006 SD/MMC card insertion detected
PB Debugger Loaded symbols for 'C:\WINCE600\OSDESIGNS\OSDESIGN2\OSDESIGN2\RELDIR\MY_AT91SAM9260\AT91SAM9260EK_SDMEMORY.DLL'
529015 PID:400002 TID:2b30006 SDMMC:InitDisk with pDisk 0xd0c27880
PB Debugger Unloaded symbols for 'C:\WINCE600\OSDESIGNS\OSDESIGN2\OSDESIGN2\RELDIR\MY_AT91SAM9260\AT91SAM9260EK_SDMEMORY.DLL'
529019 PID:400002 TID:2b30006 SDCard Initialisation failed

Now the obvious question: why has the card initialisation failed?

I plugged in a different SD card, and the problem went away.

SD card now accessible in Windows.
