After installing the AT91SAM9260EK_BIN_EVAL_v100.msi I am not able to see this as an available BSP when creating a new OSDesign.

I can see that it was installed and located in C:\WINCE600\PLATFORM\AT91SAM9260EK_BIN.

What do I need to do in order to use this BSP?

thanks

The AT91SAM9260EK_BIN_EVAL_v100.msi is a windows CE 5.0 bsp, so you can't use it with Platform Builder 6.0 / VisualStudio 2005. For Windows CE 5.0 you need Platform builder 5.0 tool.

Second, the 1.0.0 version is not the last available for windows CE 5.0, now you can found a 1.11 version.

For CE 6.0 BSP, there is just a 0.9.0 version, the final version is not avalaible, it will be avalaible soon.

If you want to get the last BSP evaluation for Atmel product, you can found it on FTP :

When you installed the Windows CE6.0 BSP Evaluation, you will have a problem with the catalog. It will not appear when you create an OS Design using AT91SAM9260EK_BIN BSP.
The problem is due to a bad caracter at the end of the catalog file.
To resolve the problem :
- After you installed the Evaluation BSP,
- Edit the file /WINCE600/PLATFORM/AT91SAM9260EK_BIN/CATALOG/AT91SAM9260EK_BIN.pbcxml with notepad,
- At the end of the file, the last caracter is a small square, so delete it,
--> Now save the file and the problem is corrected.

Be careful, the MS build process has change, and all files in lib and target directories are deleted during the build process, so the build will fail.

We have fixed this issue, but it is not already released.

What you can do is copying all this files in a tempory directory, and when the build failed, copying the files in theirs corresponding directory. Then you can finish the build process.
