Hi,
I am unable to run either WinCE/WinCE6 or Linux demo on the board that I have recently purchased. I am not sure if I am missing anything.
Below is the error I am getting when I try to run WinCE6.0 demo application that I have downloaded from Atmel site.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance
Anang

I have downloaded BSP from adeneo site, that also does not work. I downloaded from atmel site which is also not working. I have tried WinCE6.0 and wince5.0 both.
the problem comes in NK.bin file only. I can see boot loader working, when I press "space bar" I can change the settings but after that it halts on above error and micro keeps on resetting.

Hi,

Are you shure that you use the appropriate bootloader for the board? In fact, Bootloàader are different for CE 5.0 and CE 6.0.

Best Regards

Hi,
Here are the steps that I have followed for downloading the software:
1) Downloaded WinCE 5.0 from adeneo website downloads
2) Unzipped it to a folder. This folder now has 4 files, NK.nb0, EBOOT.nb0, FIRSTBOOT.nb0, 9263_WINCE_DEMO.ppt
3) I followed the instructions given in the ppt file and downloaded the three binaries one by one using USB and SAMBA. Everything went fine.
4) I pressed "space" bar when prompted and changed the settings according to the instructions given.
5) saved settings
6) restarted..
the board keeps on resetting..after running the bootloader, looks like some problem in NK.nb0 which I dont know what it is and how it is created..

Similarly I tried with WinCE6 Demo which I downloaded from Adeneo as well.
I dont know how to make BSPs so I am relying on these binaries provided.

I purchased this kit from digikey two weeks back. The chip revision number is "A" on my board (if that makes any difference).

Do you have any BSP or those three files *.nb0 that has been completely tested?

thanks in advance

All of the .nb0 are tested.
Are you using SAMBA 2.6?
The BSP on the FTP in not full compliant with SAMBA 2.6. You must use an older version.

Have you change the NANDFLASH settings after downloading the nk.nb0 image?

Best regards

I started with SAMBA 2.4 which came with the CDROM (JAN 2007, Literature #6294. I dont know how well it is being documented ).
Now in the CDROM i have 9263_WINCE_DEMO (a power point presentation) which has instructions like "Send Boot File". this option is not available in SAMBA2.4 which came with the CDROM so I downloaded SAMBA2.6 from internet and now u are saying that it is not compatible with SAMBA 2.6...
Whats going on..
Its a Cache22 for me..
