Hi,

We are developing an Application on Atmel9261_EK.
We install the OS based on the Sample Downloaded from
ftp:\\81.252.41.10, it is an Envalation Version.
It works fine in Atmel9261_EK, however when we try to add
more wince6.0 OS categories, like International categories or
add subprojects it shows ."jumping to starting address 0x2005a000"
and never run properly.

After we built the OS with International Categories, there is no any
warning from PB, it is success! The Image is not over than 32MB.
Can anybody know what's wrong with it ?

I tried to adjust Config.bib to 03000000 of RAMING, but get the same
error.

Can we have more information on your environment?

You have built a new NK.bin and then are you downloading it via ethernet or do you flash the new .nb0 binary file with SAM-BA?

Can you attach us the output log from your debug serial port for more information on your system?

The Procedures I have Done as Follow:

1.I copy At91SAM9261EK_BIN_DEMO file to C:\Wince600\OSDesign\At91SAM9261EK_BIN_DEMO
2. I add some OS Categories, like International,
3. At Project Properties :
(a) Build Type: Release
(b) Local: Chinese-Taiwan, Default Local: Chinese-Taiwan
(c) Build Option: Only Check "Enable eboot space in memory"
(d) Environment: fake_strongarm = 1, fake_idle = 1
(e) Custom Build Option: //None
(f) Subject Image Settings: //None

4. Then, Build the OS, it is success.
5. I follow the procedures downloaded from Atmel WebSite: "WinCE6_demo.ppt"
(a) Use SAM-BA to download firstboot.nb0 at dataflash
(b) type 0x5000 to download eboot.nb0 at Dataflash
(c) Init, Clear NandFlash and download NK.nb0 which I just customed.
(d) Close SAM-BA, remove USB cable.
(e) Connect the Serial Debug Port,
Select 5: enter 181, enter 2
Select 7: Launch existing flash resident image at startup
Select n, "Nand Flash menu" --- Select 2: Physical start address: enter, Starting Ip: enter,, Total ROM Size: 0x01707b7c
(f) Select 7--> Lanch from existing flash.....

Then I got the error message: jumping to starting address 0x2005a000" , and nothing happend.

Actually, I tried many times to add other OS components, I got the same error message.
However if I just add very little OS compoents, it works fine again in the same procedures.
But the platform builder do not warn me that my OS over than 32MB.

Hi everybody,

First of all, why are you using SAM-BA to flash the Windows CE image in the Nandflash and not the Platform builder download over ethernet?

The best way to flash a new NK.nb0 is to select option 6) "Download image to Flash" in the bootloader and then press d) to download a new image and write it in the Nandflash.

The other question is which version of the SAM-BA software are you using? The Adeneo BSP is not compatible with SAM-BA v2.6 or earlier, you have to use an older version to write in the Nandflash.

Hi,
Thank you for your recommends, but I still have problems installing OS.
I uninstall SAM-BA 2.6, and install SAM-BA 2.7.

I rebuild the OS copy from WinCE6_Demo, and uncheck all the compoents
of Media category.

I tried to download image from PlatformBuilder, select 6)"Download &
d) to download image.... Waiting to messages of "BOOTME to
255.255.255.255". In PB Select Target->Target Device Connectivity
-> both download/transport select Ethernet, and setting -> SAM9261_xx
then Target -> Attach Device.

Then In the PB Output Windows:
"PB Debugger Warning: Debugger service map is set to none. If your
image has debugging support it may not boot properly.." And Nothing
downloaded from PB.

I have no choice but use SAM-BA 2.7 to flash my customed NK.nb0.
It works fine in this version.

But when I try to localize the OS, I got the same error message.
.....Jumping to 0x2005a000 and nothing happen.

Can you help to custom the OS by adding the following components:

-International

* National Language Support
- Local Specific Support
- Chinese(Tradition)
* East Asia Edit Control
* East Asia Word Wrap
-Fonts
* MingLinU & PMingLiu

Hello,

If you want to use SAM-BA you have to use SAM-BA v2.5 or inferior.

In order to download your image via Ethernet, can you try to select KdStub in the field Debugger in your Target->Connectivity Options. After that you should be able to download your image using KITL.
