We have a custom board with a 9260B on which we have tried various NAND sizes and makes. I discovered a peculiar behavior on one of them. The eboot application will not always detect the Micron 8GB (8 bit, 4096+213 page, 256K block). And sometimes it detects it correctly but does not read from it correctly. And it seems to be related to timing. If I disable the boot delay in eboot so the board boots immediately the NAND seldom works (it either stops with ID 0 or crashes after reading garbage from NAND). If I set the delay to 4-5 seconds the NAND always work as expected and CE6.0 boots just fine. We have used several other NANDs (Samsung 4GB, Micron 4GB, Numonyx 8GB) and they all work fine. They all have the 2048 bytes page though.

Anyway seen this strange behavior, what could cause it?

Thank you,
Daniel

The spare is 218 btw, typo. I wonder if this is causing problems?

It turned out to be a missing pull up resistor, not a software issue.
