Hello,

I try to figuring out whether it is possible to reuse the BSP provided at http://www.at91.com/windows4sam/ in such a manner that my employer can modify and redistribute drivers based upon the BSP. I have read the license agreement carefully, but there is a point that is still not clear to me.

The terms start with "Atmel sells certain Atmel AT91SAM9 integrated circuit devices (.Atmel Products.) [...]" - What are these "Atmel AT91SAM9 integrated circuit devices", i.e. Atmel Products? Any kind of third-party hardware that contains an Atmel MCU or Atmel's official evaluation kits only? Is it possible to ship a modified resp. extended BSP with a starter kit that is not designed and provided by Atmel?

Regards
Björn

Hi,
I answer you on the forum, although I have heard about your request through several ways.

Through the term of the Limited License Agreement, You can reuse the BSP and distribute binaries without any restrictions. Regarding delivering the BSP sources with your own board, you have to make sure that the users you will sell the boards to will comply with the terms and conditions of the Limited License Agreement. In other words, you will have to ask your customers to sign the same disclaimer you have signed before downloading the sources. You can either ask your customer to simply download the BSP from Windows4SAM and thus sign the agreement.

Hope this helps.
Regards
J.C.
