We are having problem writing to the internal flash memory of our AT91SAMS7256 board designed by ourself. I tried to write the memory using SAM-BA connected to JLINK by SEGGER and also by a special program written by us to check the memory integrity. We managed to erase the entire memory but when we try to write to it some of the positions are corrupted. There is no pattern in the error. We have follow ATMEL instruction "To eliminate any risk of erasing the Flash due to noise on the ERASE pin, it shoul be tied externally to GND, which prevents erasing the Flash from the applicatiion, or pulled down with an external low-value resistor (such as 1 kΩ)". When we install this resistor it not only still does not write the flash properly but also interfere in the PULL-UP of the USB. Does anybody can help us ?

Thanks

Hi

I don't think that the erase pin has anything to do with the issue.

When writing to the internal FLASH a page buffer is used. Make sure that the page buffer is always written to 0xff before writing any data. If this is not done you may have some random data in it which will then be set to FLASH.

Regards

Mark
