I m using AT91sam7se256,
I have DTXD, DRTD pins left for interfacing uart.
Is these pins are dedicated to work as an debug unit?
Is it possible to use debug unit(DRXD, DTXD pins) as an UART for read/ write?

Hi

The DBUG is basically code compatible with the USARTs. It can't do 7 bit characters (only 8 bit) and doesn't support more advanced features of the USART, but otherwise can operate in interrupt driven as well as DMA driven modes.
