Discontinued or out of stock?

You could bump up to the x256...

The distributors says discontinued and the AT91sam7X256 also. I could find AT91SM7X512 but I´m not sure it is PIn and software compatible with AT91SAM7SX128.

Thanks for you reply.

BTW
IS there a SAM3 which is pin and software compatible that could replace the AT921SAM7X128 ? Or at lest a SAM3 that requires minor moodification in the board to replace the old processor?

By software compatible I assume you would like to compile with your existing tools (SAM7x) and down load the code. If so, then no, I wouldn't expect the SAM3 to be software compatible, it has a different core.

As far a pin compatible, I don't know, maybe someone else here has replaced a SAM7x with a SAM3 and could tell you.

I have a client that uses the SAM7x128/256/512 versions and they are still able to purchase these parts.

Some of these parts are obsolete but they have recommended replacements.

Check the following link for your specific processor and the recommended replacement part (enter sam7 in the box and click search):

Thanks!
I could not find any reference to the AT91SAM7X128 at the Product Obsolescence Information page.
I have looked at Farnell and Digikey and we get the same answer-discontinued.

You might try contacting an Atmel sales representative.

I had reported an issue to Atmel on the AT91SAM7X128 about flash programing and Atmel's Quality department is currently investigating. Can't believe that they would stop production... but, who knows.

Not sure how many you need but Avnet looks to have some instock.
They are also showing a 17week factory lead time.

See the following link
