Hi,

I am using the target AT91SAM7S256 controller and used JTAG as an programming port. I need to configure this JTAG port is in bitbang mode. Please guide me on the following

• How I can implement the JTAG in bitbang mode to download the flash image into program memory and also want to control the port pins to talk with external peripheral ICs.

• Can you provide the information on the same? If you have any application note / source code examples on this?

Thanks in advance

You're already way over your head.

You might want to check some open-source JTAG probes, or software used to un-brick routers and modems.

Segger sells JTAG pods and library software to do this kind of stuff, going to be cheaper than the man-hours it'll take to figure this out.

Consider if you can use the SAM-BA serial protocol instead, way simpler and better documented.
