Hi lde.sousa,

The AT91SAM7S µC have not External Bus Interface (EBI). In this conditions, there is not possible compatibilty at parrallel interface level.
The SAM7S Series are been designed to be standalone "Embedded System" with its Flash, SRAM, Regulator, Reset Controller and RC Oscillator inside.

Regards.

The SAM7S evaluation kit can be ordered in Sales offices and rep under the commercial reference AT91SAM764-IAR. It contains a size-limited version of the IAR Embedded Workbench EWARM and a J-LINK from Segger.
Works pretty well to evaluate the products.

Hi everyone.

I have a question about AT91SAM7SE.

I have designed a AT91SAM7SE256 board base on evolution kit.
some of boards work well, and some of boards don't work well.

I have tried to solve it in many ways, but I can't find out what is the problem.

just in my opinion, clock could be problem.
so I changed PLL Filter. usually, 1.5K is used, but I use 2k to increase the start up time.
and I canged 10pF which is connected with crystal to 22pF.
however, doesn't work.....
I though USB coulde be problem. so I remove the all of the capacitor which is connect with USB connector and connect the pull down resistor.
it also dosn't work.
some of boards are work well so I burn a image through sam-ba. after that, I recovered the sam-ba using erase pin.
and then the board doesn't work, too.
what's the problem?

p.s. I can recover the sam-ba bootloader using just erase pin. right? just connect to 3.3v for a few seconds.
if I use Oscillator, do I have to change PLL Filter or start-up code?

Hi all, I have just completed my article about how to: Porting FreeRTOS to AT91SAM7S256 board.

At link:
http://letrungthang.blogspot.com/2011/0 ... os-to.html

Maybe it has some things not correct, so, if you can, please review and comment it. This help us having good and free tutorials.

Also, you can read here for getting basic IAR:
http://letrungthang.blogspot.com/2009/11/arm.html

I have just added a new tutorial: Building an Application for AT91SAM7S with FreeRTOS RTOS and IAR

link:
http://letrungthang.blogspot.com/2011/0 ... -with.html

Note: supplied source code was tested and run OK.
please comment and suggest.
Regards
