Hi,

I would like to know if there will be some developement tools available -
like AVR Studio for AVR microcontrollers in order to help students or other
enthusiasts to start using the product?

Best regards,

Hi Miniman,

Our AT91SAM7S Evaluation Kits are available with IAR Tools (Project Manager which embeds Compiler, linker, debugger and JLink Ice Interface).
The Project Manager is Code Size Limited (up to 32 kbytes) but it is FREE.
Thus, with a wholly accessible prices, the 16/32-bit ARM Based Microcontrollers AT91SAM7S Microcontrollers is becoming for all.

Hi miniman,

That low cost bid is for the AT91SAM7S-IAR Kit Unity. The IAR tools are not free !!

You can get development tools for the SAM7 from Rowley Associates

http://www.rowley.co.uk/

They have both Windows/Linux builder environments.
Their tools are reasonably priced and they give you a 30 days evaluation license.

The J-Link interface doesn't work in Linux but the Macraigor Wiggler 20 pins does (that's what I'm using now).
The C compiler used is a cross-compiled gcc.
I found the ARM CrossStudio particularly useful in debugging code.
