No, the SAM7 chips don't seem to be in distribution yet. I have been told by a rep that they are sampling, but they are only going to users with volume projects currently.
Digikey has them listed on their site, but they are claiming an April delivery date for all of the SAM7S and the A1 and A2 parts. The A3 part is not listed. I have been told by others that the S64 will be out first, with the largest ones last. In fact, the S256 is not due for production until late Q2 or Q4, I don't remember which, but both are far from April.
This makes me a bit uncomfortable since I want to build an eval board with the S256 chip. I can use the S64 in the short term, but I hate to do that.
BTW, I get the impression that no one from Atmel monitors this forum. Is that right?
