 Post subject: AT91RM3400 PLL's

Hi,

If we are not using the PLL's (if we don't need to generate USB clocks, etc) on the AT91RM3400, do we need to connect the relevant pins? Or can they be left open / floating?

Also, does this affect the running of the slow clock and system clock crystals?

(The PLL pins I'm asking about are 3,4,5,12,13,14)

Hi Vries,

The PLLRC can be left open without any problem but the PLL shall not be started in your software application. In other case the PLL will consume some current.
