Hey guys, I'm using a max1775 core/peripheral voltage regulator to generate the 3.3V and 1.8V needed for the AT91R40008, it runs in two modes, one is a more efficient mode, drawing voltage for the core straight from the battery input (5V), and the other draws the core voltage from the peripheral voltage (3.3V). I was wondering if that AT91R40008 has an specific requirements on the peripherals coming up before the core, I know some CPUs do, but I couldn't find anything on this one, I want to use the more efficient configuration, but I want to be sure that the processor won't be damaged. Any ideas?

Hi,

There is no constraint at working or damage level. The core or the VDDIO can rise one after the other without any problem :D
Go ahead, find the easiest solution for your application.

Regards

That was my gut feeling, but I wanted to be sure, apparently some of motorola's processors can be damaged by it... Thanks!
