Hi all,

This is it: I am developing an ARM-based image analizer and I need to use the fastes one ... I think that is the at91R40008 that reaches 70MHz (if I am wrong , please correct me). So .. here is the thing ... the datasheet say that the CORE voltage is 1.65V to 1.95V while the I/O is 2.7V to 3.6V . So .. my question is ... the EBI is part of CORE or I/O ? Can I use a 3.3V SRAM on the EBI ?

Thanks in advanced !

Hi Overcast,

sure you can. The VDDIO power supply rail only powers all IO pads, not the embedded peripherals (powered by VDDCORE).

FYI, an hardware design guide for an AT91R40008 based system is available from our website under application notes. I have posted it as "Sticky" in the ARM7TDMI Forum.

Bye ;)
