Hello,

I've been experimenting with this development kit for some time, and when you receive it, it has this flashy interface with various icon-buttons, animation and so forth. Quite impressive.

Now it's my turn, at least so i tought...
When i want to display something on the screen i use the included libraries and am able to display some text and manipulate a pin here and there. But it doesn't come anywhere near the flashy default screen from Atmel.

Long story short, where to begin to make my own flashy interface?

Kind regards
Rob

It sure would be great if you could actually get a question answered around here wouldn't it?

I have the same question. The examples provided by Atmel are _pretty_ good but nothing great. I would love to see something as simple as creating a grid of buttons and attaching some actions (I know some people will read the word "action" and think I want some Java like behavior or something but that's not what I meant) to them but all Atmel provides you with is that highly complex code for initializing the touchscreen. It's far too complicated for anyone short of highly experienced to really make it useful. Have you progressed at all in the last 6 months? If you can show me how to create a few buttons and how to "react" to those buttons being touched I would really appreciate it. I know I could figure it out after a few days of throwing if statements around but it would be nasty.

In fact, it seems there isn't any source code provided regarding this demo.

Besides that, there is something similar on the SAM3S-EK and the source code is available. Not really as great as some proprietary and not free APIs but useful in order to do fast prototyping or studies.

That is what Operating Systems are for.
Inflexion from Mentor is a pretty neat GUI.
