Hi at all!

I have designed a custom board with a AT91SAM3S1A microcontroller and now I would like to burn the internal flash with sam-ba 2.10.
I try it about UART or USB but it don't work. The USB-variant have only the supply with caps and a 18.432MHz crystal onboard. All voltages and the clock are okay.

If I try to connect the board with sam-ba and choose "AT91SAM3S-EK", sam-ba hangs and nothing happens.
If I choose "no_board" then sam-ba start but I can't burn the internal flash with my bin-file.

Have anyone the same problem and can help me?

Did you change the crystal frequency from that available on the AT91SAM3S-EK kit? If yes, then you need to recompile the sam-ba applets with your new clock frequency defined.

I also just finished making a board using the AT91SAM3S1B using a 12MHz Crystal. SAM-BA recognizes the chip over USB and I am unable to send a bin file larger than about 12kB otherwise it hangs. I am able to perform the "Boot from Flash (GPNVM1)", unplug the USB, plug it back in and see that the chip no longer shows up under the USB list. If I set the ERASE jumper on my board, which pulls the ERASE pin high, then unplug the USB and plug it back in then the device shows back up on the USB list and SAM-BA can once again communicate with the chip. Unfortunately all of my test programs are larger than 12kB, so I cannot test my blinking LED code yet. Is there an updated version of SAM-BA or a work around by modifying the TCL scripts? Please let me know if I can provide any more information to help resolve this problem.

Hi all,

This is same problem in my project.

SAM3S1B. Tes result is same completly.

Does anyone have solution for this?

in my test with HHD usb packet monitor,
Get chip id -> good
down load applet binary file -> good
write specific words -> good
read specific address -> Hang on.

But 7S64 has good responses on read specific address commands, and
go to second window of SAMBA GUI.
Why does 3S1B can not upload for read command?
