Hi, I'm a beginner with this ARM architecture, in spite of being an AVR
expert.

I bought this board to make some simple CAN bus tests.
http://www.ic-board.de/product_info.php?info=p43_ICswift-SAM7X256.html

But I'm with some problems in getting it started.

I have downloaded the softpack-1.4-at91sam7x-ek-web with some examples
form atmel just to see how it works.

My problem is in transfering the .bin code to the flash memory of the
board via USB.

I start sam-ba and connect to the board via usb just fine.

Then i select the .bin file from the FLASH tab and hit the send file
button, but it stays on the "please wait" window forever and freezes the
SAM-BA program.

Any ideia to get it working ?!?!

Thanks

Hello iJAF,

it's a while since you posted, but did you succeed to get the ICswift board running?

Now that I have one too, I found your posting thru a web search and also had a look at the Atmel softpack. Some things I found after a brief look at the schematics of the ICswift and the EK (for which the softpack has been written):

Both boards are very similar, but also have quite some differences. They use different pins for the serial interfaces and the ICswift has no RS232 level shifters. It also uses PB28 to enable the CAN driver and the LEDs are at different pins too.

The softpack examples sure are a good start to get the ICswift up and running, but will need some tweaking and modifications.

@all:
Is anybody else using this fine board?

Stefan
