Hi everybody,

I am beginner of engineer. so please excuse that I am not so well in ARM. In past, I used AVR STK500 tools and wrote assemble language for program. However, my boss need us to use ARM and C-language to make a LCD demo. It is difficult to me. Therefore, please everybody exchange your opinion for following issues:

Tools: EB40A (AT91R40008)
LCD panel: J180S7-01
Driver IC:HD66770
Status: Hardware poring as connecting LCD panel and EBI of EB40A
LCD provide: provide a parameter table as Initial table and wakeup table etc
Issue:
1, I see this parameter table for LCD, something can not be understand as
unsigned short HD66773RJ180S7 InitialTable[]=
{
0x07,0x0000,
0x0D,0x0000,
0x0E,0x0000,
0xFFFF,(10ms), //delay 10 ms

The under line instruction can not be understand how to delay 10 ms
If everybody know, please reply me! Thanks!

2. Once I write driving program for LCD, Do we find EBI definition in EB40A.h? And then use this definition of I/O to drive LCD panel, is it right ?

3. if have example of this board to drive LCD panel, please give a reference design.

4. Or everybody can advise me design steps how to drive this LCD. I would like to try how to write program, but don’t have direction. Which one is first ?

Hate to say this, but if you can not take a functional board/EBI example and modify it - you are going to have troubles with anything.

The interface to the controller is going to be similar for any display it supports. If it does not support your display - there is nothing that will change that.

I think you were looking for help in the wrong place. I would have talked to the LCD manufacturer or the display controller manufacturer if there was any question of being able to function together.

I do wish you luck though!

[Edit]I saw no reason to just increase my post count so - If you want Atmel response - look for the Atmel people or use at91support@atmel.com - this is a public forum with public responses. I know you are bitter, but just move on. Atmel was not the best solution for you.[/Edit]
