Hi all,

I'm trying to get SAM-BA to communicate with my AT91SAM7-EK board, reading the sam-ba user guide it seems to sugest that sam-ba should see my board on connecting the USB to it. This does not seem to be the case, initially the board was detected as a HID device, which I believe is the default demo program. Thinkiong that this may be getting in the way I have used the erase jumper to erase the chip, this however does not seem to have helped.

I Previously used the Atmel USB AVRs, with their bootloader, which has to be triggered at reset time, is there a way to do this on the AT91SAM7256 on my board ?

I have looked in the documentaion but cannot find the answer to how to proceed....

BTW, is there any way of getting rid of the tect colour panel in the forum it's about 3 times the size of the text input box......

Cheers.

Phill.

Ok,

Following up my own post I found out how to do it. Restoreing the bootloader is documented in the "Getting Started with
AT91SAM7S Microcontrollers" application note.

Basically procedure seems to be seems to be

1) Erase the device with the erase jumper, then power down.
2) Power up with the test jumper on.
3) Wait 10 seconds then power down.
4) Remove test jumper then power up and the sam-ba is restored.

Cheers.

Phill.
