Hello,

I am using the Atmel AT91SAM9261-EK Evaluation Board with 45DB642D DataFlash and Samsung 619 K9F1208U0B PCB0 NandFlash. I do not have problems about programming those two files, DataFlashBoot_642D_100MHz.bin and u-boot.bin, into the evaluation board using SAM-BA 1.11 through the USB cable. However, when I connect the evaluation board to the computer using the RS232 cable (Serial port), I found that the UBOOT cannot recognize the NandFlash of the evaluation board and then the HyperTerminal does not have any response (I could not type any commands in the command line). The following is the message shown in the HyperTerminal.

1: Read Dataflash [addr]
2: Start UBOOT [C0008000 => 20000000]
*--------------------------------------*
Enter:
Load UBOOT from dataflash[c0008000] to SDRAM[23f00000]
PLLA[200MHz], MCK[100Mhz] ==> Start UBOOT

U-Boot 1.1.4 (Feb 9 2006 - 18:14:03)

Does anyone have any suggestion? Thank you very much!

I have installed the uboot files and have booted the device.
Unfortunatley I have the problem of no flash found.
this seems to stop me saving env variable in uboot.
I have seen on some other postings that the nand flash chip was incorrect and
the samba rev 1.? did not work.
Does this stop uboot suffer from the same problem and have this been fixed in newer versions ( I have 1.3 ish)
Do I need to recompile/hack uboot to make it work with the nand flash chip used on the 91sam9261-ek -rev7.
