Hello all,

I've begun working with the AT91SAM9261-EK board and have run into problems. I am loading the linux binaries to try, specifically.

I've looked around and figured out that I needed to update SAM-BA to get my DataFlash IC started up (642D) and got past that. Then, I looked around and found the updated dataflashboot.bin file for the 642D and loaded that. Now, I'm stuck because my computer seems to hang loading the uboot.bin file to the dataflash.

I noticed a post about other boards not sending ACKs to the SAM-BA program and causing this to slow down the upload process. Is this the case for the 9261-EK? I also saw another post that implied you couldn't load U-Boot on the DataFlash IC, only on the DataFlash card. Is this correct? My kit didn't come with a DataFlash card...

Thanks.

Additionally, I should note a few other observations:

1) SAM-BA locks when I try to transfer the dataflashboot file via USB. This is not the case when I use a USB-Serial converter (my computer does not have a serial port).

2) I am using SAM-BA v2.4 (AT91-ISP v1.8).

I suppose I should try loading this on another computer with a straight-up serial port and see if it works then...

I suppose I should mention I never got this to work and so I wrote my own first-level bootloader and store it in external NOR flash on CS0. Works great and I know what is getting initialized and what isn't. :-)
