I can't get my AT91SAM9263 board to boot again. I removed the battery because I thought it would completely reset the board and maybe it did... I don't receive the BootROM message on the debug port anymore. Actually I don't receive anything on the debug port. After removing the battery the board didn't come on until I jumper the J2 "Force Power On". After I do the J2 I can remove power then reapply and it will power up on its own.

Someone please help, I really need to get this board back online ASAP!

Thanks,
Bobby Cannon

I can't get anything from USB. The SAM-BA application doesn't see the board and I don't see anything in the device manager about the unit. It's like the USB port isn't working either...

I am also facing the same problem I removed and reinserted the battery
and now the board is not being detected.

Please tell me what you did for getting your board bootup again.

Thanks and Regards,
Devendra

I found some information on this from this link

http://support.atmel.no/bin/customer?=& ... try&id=253

The steps I followed are as follows:

Quote:
1. Close J2 to force power on

2. Open J5 (Boot Mode Select Jumper)

3. Power on the board

4. Remove and replace J4-1 (VDDBU/VDDBACKUP Jumper)

Refer to the SAM9263-EK User Guide and the SAM9263 product datasheet for more details

I followed all the steps mentioned on the page to boot the board from the
internal ROM. but again the board is not booting up.

Had anybody succeded in booting from the internal ROM after following this
procedure, please give some inputs.

Regards,
Devendra

huuff ! Got a workaround

the procedure for booting the Romboot is to be follwed like this

1. Again take out the battery from your board dont put it back.

2. Force poweron by putting jumper J2.

2. Power up the board and you will get the Romboot prompt on the
minicom or hyperterm.

3. Now put the battery back in its place.

4. Press reset and u will get the Romboot prompt.
