hi all, im new here.
I've got an EB40 AT91 eval board, with no software aside from the manual CD. I really want to get into using the more powerful chips(have been working with picmicros/parallax propeller previously).

is there some kind of Development software i could use, that is FREE.
also, what is Angel for? the manual says its pre-installed in the eeprom.

all i want to do is write a C program that flashes a light, or sends the host machine characters via the uart, or something like that.

will GCC cross-compile to ARM7TDMI? if so, how do i do this??

thanks for any replies.

1. Check out http://www.yagarto.de/ if you already haven't.

2. Angel is a debug monitor
