Hi,

I'm using AT91SAM9G25 based customized board.
We are trying to interface the ethernet with SMSC LAN8710Ai PHY chip.

In u-boot, I was able to read/write to the MII registers of the PHY chip (ID, Status, control etc). So I assume MII/RMII communication is fine.

Now the issue is, even though the Auto negotiation is initiated(through BMCR register of PHY) in the u-boot, Link is not coming up and auto negotiation is not happening.
Corresponding LINK and Auto negotiation bits in the PHY register BMSR were not up even after specified timeout/retries (in macb_phy_init and macb_phy_reset functions of macb.c in u-boot).

u-boot version: 2010.06
PHY_Addr = 0x01;
Mode = 111b; /* All capable, Auto-negotiation enabled*/

Please help me in finding out whats going wrong.
