Hi everybody,

I post this message in order to attach a small, but, interesting Technical Paper. This pdf document gives a very good overview and allows to understand the intrinsic delays to fetch instruction or data vs. [the internal bus interface, with or without cache memories, with or without MMU].
This small note has another basic goal: it shows, with a very easy approach, the method to fetch code or data from the processor with and without Cache memory according to the ARM920T Mode (synchronous, asynchronous or fast bus modes).

Good reading

hi smith,
this is an interesting and important post u done.
Is there another document concerning this subject with more details as we could not found these informations in the datasheet and no much advertising is done concerning this functionality. :?: :?: :?:

For example do i have to add this extra clock in the timing between two concecutive instruction read or write when accessing an external nand_flash or SDRAM connected to the EBI :?: :?: :?:
And this anytime i access an external resource??

Best regards

Hi everybody,

Sorry for the missing attachment, but a lot of attached file links have disappeared. Thus, do not hesitate to send me mails to administrator@at91.com in order to fix that.
