Dear all,
I'm developing a custom board with sam9g45 chip, but meet some troubles, the 12MHz crystal oscillator does not work.
I power on my board, and 3.3V 1.8V and 1.0V power is ok. And I have referred to "AT91SAM9G45 Microcontroller Schematic Check List" document, and make sure the TST pin tie to GNDBU, makes sam9g45 work normally. But the 12MHz crystal oscillator doesn't work (Clext=22pF, 20pF, 18pF), I cann't catch the wave signal.
Somebody can help or share what I haven't known yet?

Many thanks!

Hi!

If you pulled-up the JTAGSEL pin to 3.3V with external resistor, remove that, because
the uC is in JTAG boundary scan mode and the main oscillator is not running.

The Embedded ICE mode (without pull-up resistor) is the normal mode of the uC, so
pull-down the JTAGSEL pin to GND or leave it to float (!! more information in datasheet).

Bye

Check the specification of the crystal you are using. What's the crystal's capacitance Ccrystal, does it need a series resistor?

Check BMS pin. If it's low, the processor boots from NCS0 and not from ROM and appears to not be configuring the oscillator. At least that's what I saw when I left it low
