Presumably you'd just use SAM-BA, and push the firmware on to flash like everyone else.

but i just want to know how the binary files of the program goes to the processor whether it uses serial port or usb. if it uses serial port than which pins of the processors are connected to the serial port and if it uses usb than which pins of the processors are connected to the usb. i want this to know because i want to make my board because my requirement are less than the atmel provides the board.i just want ddr memory ,flash memory, tft lcd. so help me out from this issue.

thanks...

Presumably because one can figure this out it if they read and understand the documentation enough to build a board. Or they experiment with one of the many EK boards ATMEL makes to evaluate the product prior to schematic/pcb design.

There are reference schematics for the AT91SAM9M10-G45-EK board. Use this as a road map.
www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc6495.pdf

The serial port connectivity for SAM-BA is via the DBGU (US0) serial connector, the PINS:DRXD,DTXD, PIO:PB12,PB13, BALLS:P6,R6
From : http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod ... /6355s.pdf

You can upload and download files to the on-board flash devices using the standard SAM-BA interface, via Serial, USB or JTAG. The CPU can presumably also boot from regular MMC cards, or plugged in flash memory (ie socketed or carded), if suitably attached and configured.

Now i want to know which compiler is suitable for at91sam9m10 for writing codes for the cpu.will this compiler generate suitable files for the cpu?.and one more thing cpu will accept which type of files.SAM-BA is used for to download this files?

can anyone provide me links for the sample programs for this cpu so i can modify it for my use.

thanks in advance.
