We are using AT91SAM9G45 processor in our HMI application and developed board based on referance development kit. Presently on some of the boards USB host and device ports are not working. We have tested through test firmware “usb-device-cdc-serial-project-at91sam9m10-ekes-iar.zip” and found USB device working through this firmware so we can say that there is no hardware problem, on the same board Samba also not detecting. Our Atmel OS version is 1.0.0.1. We have tune the USB tracks to 90E but still this problem occuring on some of the boards. Is any possibility of issue in PCB design?or is any issue with USB driver.

We had a problem similar to this (same processor, AT91SAM9G45), with the problem being rooted in the pcb design. How are you doing ESD protection and do you have any additional components other than the ones in the reference design of your USB circuit?

Is there any chance that the problem is with your USB cables?

We found the problem that connect the usb device to PC, and finally solved it, it is because the Win7 system, the win7 install the wrong driver for the usb device, and the hardware is ok. if you need the schematic, send mail to me(armdevs@gmail.com), i can shared the schematic file to you.
