Hi

We have purchased evaluation kit of
AT91sam9xe-ek.

In the evaluation kit the nand flash used is 8-bit part# MT29F2G08AACWP.

If I run the nandflash applet its correctly giving
-I- Nandflash ID is 0x1580DA2C
If I run the bootstrap with dbg_print Iam correctly getting manufacturer Id as 2C and device id as 0xda and u-boot is loading.

The PROBLEM is I have replaced the nandflash in the eval kit with 8-bit nand flash of Partnumber MT29F2G08ABAEAWP whose ID is also 2CDA.
If I run nandflash applet Iam getting
-I- Nandflash ID is 0x9590DA2C

BUT If I run bootstrap with dbg_print Iam getting Manufacture ID as 0x2c
but device Id WRONGLY as 0x01
u-boot also not booting

How ID read is correct in nandflash applet and wrong in bootstrap?

Did I need to change code in bootstrap for the new nandflash ?

Please help me to come out of this problem...

Thanks

Maybe.
The versions of ROMboot and at91bootstrap used in the first at91SAM SoCs were very limited in supported devices. Don't know about current versions.

Have you looked at the boot source code? That's the advantage of open source code versus proprietary code: a lot of questions can now be answered by reading the source code!

Regards
