Clear Usart Buffer

Hi all.

Actually i'm making a project with At91Sam9xe but i need to clear the usart0 buffer after i read the data. is there anyway to do this?

"Buffer" as in memory buffer?
Or the device register/port?

The possible operations you could perform on the device registers would be in the Atmel documentation. It is a must-read if you are going to do any driver development.

IIRC I have never seen any kind of software control over the receive data register (other than reading the data) in the half-dozen UART/USART/SCC chips I have worked on .
